How to play Guseulssogi

한국어

A quick start. Each number is explained, with its basis, on the rules page.

What it is

Guseulssogi is a game of shooting bubbles to match colors.

Three or more of one color pop. Bubbles cut off from the ceiling fall.

Shots that pop nothing pile up. Then the ceiling drops a row.

A bubble on the bottom line ends the game.

On the daily board everyone plays the same layout. Compare scores.

Basic rules

The board is 10 bubbles wide and 12 rows tall.

Aim the cannon and fire. Bubbles bounce off the walls.

A bubble sticks to the nearest free spot where it meets the ceiling or another bubble.

Three or more of one color in a chain all pop.

Bubbles no longer linked to the ceiling fall.

After 6 shots without a pop, the ceiling drops one row.

A bubble on the last line ends the game.

Colors also differ by shape: dot, triangle, square, diamond, plus.

This app's board

Clear every colored bubble within 40 shots to win the daily board.

A win adds 30 points per shot left.

A popped bubble scores 10. A fallen bubble scores 20.

Three hazards: heavy stone, frost shell, burr.

Two tools: cracker and sweep. One arrives every 9 shots, alternating.

The daily board is one a bot cleared within 30 shots.

The day changes at midnight Korea time.

Basic tips

Bank off a wall to reach bubbles behind others.

Cut a chain at the ceiling and the whole branch falls.

Swap trades the current and next bubble. It costs no shot.

Read the dotted line before you fire.

If one color is piled on one side, cut that branch first.

Deeper tips

A frost shell melts when a neighbor pops or a bubble touches it. Until then it joins no color group.

Touch a burr without a pop and the ceiling gets two shots closer.

A heavy stone never pops. Cut its chain and let it fall.

A cracker clears the six neighbors. A sweep clears the whole row of the bubble it touches.

Endless mode keeps adding rows, and hazards grow over time.

Common snags

No dotted line. Press and drag on the board.

Fire will not press. A bubble is in flight or the game is over.

If a color leaves the board, your bubble changes to a remaining color.

Your score differs from a friend's. Check that you both played the same day.

There is no undo. There is only swap.
